Abode Appraisal Services is a woman-owned family business in Texas founded by Jill Riley Powell.

A native Texan born in Fort Worth, Jill became involved in Austin real estate appraising in 2005 and earned her residential license in 2007. She began Abode Appraisal in 2009 after receiving her residential certification. She has performed appraisals all around the Austin metro area and witnessed large amounts of growth and differing market environments. Being a certified residential appraiser means that she is allowed to appraise residential properties over a million dollar in value, and/or up to a fourplex. She excels at more complicated residential appraisal projects, such as raw land, luxury, construction projects, and ranchettes. Finding patterns in market behavior is her favorite part of appraising. In 2021, Jill became a dual licensed Realtor and certified residential appraiser, believing that cross training and collaborating with other real estate professionals gives her a broader perspective. She enjoys helping clients directly make informed decisions when buying or selling properties.
